This is a guide to printing from PBS ipads. It's most useful to MS students, however anyone with a PBS ipad can use it. 

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the 'Presto' app

  2. click cancel at the 'turn on location services...' box
  3. click 'login' at the top right corner
  4. type in your credentials. (username and password. You should not enter your full email address, but rather just your username.

  1. Open the app you wish to print from and navigate to what you want to print. 
  2. click the "Share icon" at the top

  3. Now it depends on where you're printing from 
    1. Print directly: 
      1. Most places you will see a Click the print icon (note you may have to scroll to the right to find it"

      2. Use the dialog to select the options you want.

      3. Click Print
    2. Print using Presto "Magic Queue"
      If you don't see a print option, you should see the presto icon
      1. after clicking on the share icon, click on the presto icon

      2. you will see a dialog box. Click Print

      3. Open the Presto app and you should see the find-me-printer listed.

      4. You should see your file ready to print.  Click on the file name. (It is frequently "untitled")

      5. Presto should now send your document to the printer.

  1. Once you have selected what you want to send to the printer, the first step is to click "Print" from the available list of options as shown below. 

    1. Note: if you do not see the print option on the bottom row, you may need to click the "More" button in the bottom right-hand corner to find the "Print" button if it is not already enabled.

      2. If it is not already selected, choose the printer named "iPad-Find-Me-Printer" from the list of available options as shown below.

            a. Note: The printer named "Xerox-Find-Me-Printer" may not work correctly if you are printing from a PBS iPad.

      3.  If it asks you for your username and password then enter your PBS username (firstname.lastname) and password as shown below. Then select "OK."

     4. If you entered a valid username and password, you should now see a screen with a few print options like the ones shown below. Once you have set the desired options correctly, press the "Print" button in the top right-hand corner of the window.

             a. If you need more than one copy you can press the "+" sign and if you need fewer copies you can press the "-" sign to decrease the number of copies you are sending to the printer.

             b. If you do not need to print your job in full color, tap on the screen where it says "Color, Letter" and you will then see another option named "Black & White" which will allow you to send your print job in Black and White.

      5. To retrieve your print job, go to ANY of the Xerox Copy Machines on campus that you are allowed to retrieve jobs from (if you are uncertain which machines you are allowed to retrieve jobs from then please ask your teacher).
